Dear delegates of special conference committee, we are looking forward to seeing you on the 17th SPIMUN conference.
We would like to initiate you into peculiarities of work on the Special Conference committee. This year is proclaimed as the International Year of Water Cooperation.
The goal is to draw up an action paper, so it means that in the end of the third day you will have to present ‘message of Special Conference’ on 3 resolutions (which would be taken on the second day) on Closing Ceremony.
Lobbying procedure and the program for the second day are absolutely analogous to the procedure of the debates for all the GA committees.
During the third day delegates are required to take up rather challenging and a very important task to make up the summary for all accepted resolutions, and then read aloud your ‘message’ on the Closing Ceremony.
All the delegates will be divided in 3 groups. Each group will be given 2 or 3 resolutions to discuss. During some stretch of time you will have to make a small summary for each single resolution (about 4-5 sentences less).
After writing your summaries in small groups one representative from each group will read the summaries to the House. Summaries are not debatable! The delegates have to arrange summaries in order to make logically-built, harmonious text of your future ‘message’.
After arranging the text the work in small groups will continue. In groups delegates will have to create perambulatory clauses for their ‘message’ (they may be taken from existing resolutions of your Committee or any other). Then group representatives are supposed to read aloud operative clauses created by his group to the House.
In the end you should have ‘message of Special Conference on Water Cooperation’ all-roundly considering and describing all youth-related items of the Agenda.
