Privacy Policy

How SPIMUN processes and protects personal data (Federal Law No. 152-FZ).

This Policy describes how the personal data of users of spimun.com (the "Site") is processed and protected. It has been drawn up in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 "On Personal Data".

1. Data controller

The controller is State Budgetary Educational Institution Gymnasium No. 157 named after Princess Eugenia of Oldenburg, Central District of St. Petersburg (the organiser of the SPIMUN conference).

2. What data we process

  • on registration: name of the contact person, e-mail address, password (stored only as a hash);
  • school details: name, country, address, phone, website;
  • details of delegation members (delegates, chaperons, chairs): name, gender, date of birth, committee and country assignment, dietary requirements;
  • technical data: IP address, cookies, browser information, date and time of visits.

Dietary requirements may constitute health-related data; providing them is voluntary and they are used only to arrange catering for participants.

3. Purposes of processing

  • registering schools and delegations, organising and running the SPIMUN conference;
  • communicating with participants and sending organisational information;
  • producing badges and conference documents;
  • ensuring the operation and security of the Site and analysing its use (if you consent to analytics cookies).

4. Legal basis

Data is processed on the basis of the data subject's consent (Articles 6 and 9 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ), given during registration by ticking the corresponding box. A school representative (MUN Director) who enters the data of delegation members confirms that they have obtained the consent of those persons and, for minors, of their parents or legal guardians.

5. How and for how long data is processed

The controller collects, records, organises, stores, updates, uses, anonymises, blocks, deletes and destroys personal data, with or without automated means. Data is stored on servers located in the Russian Federation for no longer than the purposes require — as a rule, for 3 years after the end of the conference, unless otherwise required by law.

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties, except as required by Russian law or when shared with partners directly involved in organising the conference (for example, for visa support), to the extent necessary for that purpose.

6. Your rights

You may request information about the processing of your personal data, ask for it to be corrected, blocked or deleted, and withdraw your consent by writing to spmun@yandex.ru. We will reply within the time limits set by Federal Law No. 152-FZ.

7. Cookies and web analytics

The Site uses necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you logged in (session), remember your language and your cookie choice. These are required for the Site to work.

With your consent, the Site may use the Yandex.Metrica web analytics service (Yandex LLC), which collects anonymised visit statistics. You can decline analytics cookies in the notice on the Site or delete cookies in your browser settings.

8. Data security

The controller takes legal, organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and destruction.

9. Changes to this Policy

The controller may amend this Policy. The current version is always available on this page.
